Myesha Good

Myesha Good is an advocate for political, economic, and social equality who delights in serving the communities in which she lives and works.  Myesha has utilized her unique standing in the Atlanta metro community and skillset amassed over the last two decades to educate, embolden, and lead citizens to effectively engage and serve all over the country.

A proud partner at PolitaCoach LLC, Myesha thoroughly enjoys life in the political “Fast Lane”. In addition to providing training, coaching, strategic advice, and consulting services with her colleague and trusted partner, Attorney LaDawn Blackett Jones, Myesha proudly serves as the 13th Congressional District Chair for the Democratic Party of Georgia. During her tenure, she has meticulously trained Party members across the state to replicate the electoral success that she and her husband David Good led and achieved in their home County of Douglas, a historically conservative county. It  turned Blue for the first time in generations.

Myesha has built strong relationships she cultivated through the years serving as a Post Seat Holder for the Douglas County Democratic Committee, President of the Democratic Women’s Council of Douglas County, Advisory Board Member of the United Way of Douglas County, President of the Junior League of Douglas County, and Board of Trustees Member of her alma mater Morris Brown College.

Myesha has had the honor to serve during the leadership of three mayoral administrations, gaining knowledge and expertise as she assisted the wonderful citizens of the City of Atlanta. Two of her crowning achievements was the implementation of the first case management system for the Department of Public Works, and ATL311, a non-emergency call center that constituents can call to find information about services, make complaints, or report problems like potholes and missed trash pickups.

It has been Myesha’s experience working hand-in-hand with the political and business elite and community servants that led to her life’s mission:  drawing people into the intersection of community, business, and politics.  From there she formed her first venture, Good & Associates Political Consulting Firm, serving as campaign manager, strategist and trainer to political campaigns and advocacy organizations.  Myesha has consulted on winning political and issue-based campaigns on every level – local, county, statewide and national.  A few campaigns she had the pleasure to serve include Union City Councilwoman Shayla Nealy, (former) Georgia State Representative LaDawn Blackett Jones, Presidential Candidate Al Gore, Angela Brown for Cobb County State Court Judge, Shondeana Crews Morris for Fulton County Superior Court, Dalia Racine for Douglas County District Attorney, and Cynthia Adams for Douglas County Superior Court Judge.

In recognition of Myesha’s incredible service, she was elected to serve as a 2016 Delegate for Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton, and as a member of the Leadership Douglas, Georgia Forward Young GameChangers, New Leaders Council, and United Way VIP.

Myesha has also received numerous awards and recognition that includes the Sam P. Roberts Community Service Award by the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce, Yellow Rose Community Service Award by the Georgia Women’s Legislative Caucus, Servant Leadership Award by the Georgia General Assembly, Who’s Who in Black Atlanta, Top 10 Young Professional of the Year in Douglas County, Burlene Morris Leadership Award by the Georgia Federation of Democratic Women, Phil Miller Leadership Award from the Douglas County Democratic Committee, City of Atlanta Woman of the Year, and the YoungGov40 Award by Young Government Leaders.

Myesha is a board member for the Douglasville/Douglas County Cultural Arts Council where she has been instrumental in ensuring that arts and crafts are pivotal in the Douglas County community for children and adults. She is a featured columnist with her husband David for BOLD Favor Magazine; their column, “The Good List”, focuses on advocacy and politics.  Myesha is also a member of the Sigma Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Myesha earned her MPA from Strayer University and BA degree from Morris Brown College. Her husband, David Good, is the CEO of Red Ink Consulting Firm, President of BOLD Favor Media Group, and a highly respected community and political leader who served four years as Chair of the Douglas County Democratic Committee.
